now i would like to do the same thing with xcontest using the live feature to display my position when i fly. I made a software that listens on the local machine and then forwards the request to LT24 using it's documentaded api's opening the session sendin positions and when for 10 minuts there is no more activity, it closes the session, this works quite fine. the traccar server at each request he receives, it forwards the position info to a url on the local machine, it's a json with all info of the device and it's potision I have setup a location server called traccar, this is a just a hub for various traking devices, i can connect without problem any tracker like gh3000, tk102, pet trakers, car trakers and other types, also his app works. Hello, i would like to have some info about XContest new livetracking feature Posted: Wed 13:27 UTC Post subject: Info about XC livetraking api In the end, it seems to work quite well, but we need testers to tell us their real-world experience so try it and write here what do you think. in Preferences -> Android Integration you can mute phone ringing and SMS when flying in Preferences -> Android Integration you can make XCTrack disable synchronization (emails, calendar etc.) when launch is detected ![]() the actual data consumption is very low - XCtrack livetracking needs about 40K/hour, there seems to be some more data being sent by the crash analytics and Google play API, so we end up with ~100KB/hour when you 'follow' other online flights, the consumption is obviously higher Yes, LiveTracking uses internet connection in the phone.
